Nuria holds several professional degrees, including a DVM, MSc and PhD. She is also a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) with extensive experience in Preclinical Drug Development. She is an expert in the development and validation of analytical methods for both Clinical and Preclinical Biomarkers and Epidemiology and Identification of Risk Factors. She received a Veterinary Medicine Degree from Complutense University of Madrid, a Masters in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of London, a PhD in Epidemiology and Microbiology from Complutense University of Madrid and a Post Doc from Yale University and a Postgraduate Certification in Regulatory Toxicology from University of Barcelona. She pursued a career in academia for 13 years, contributing to the research of infectious diseases by investigating etiological agents, developing diagnostic methods for early detection, identifying risk factors that facilitate the spread of infections and investigating vaccines to prevent infections. During the past 10 years, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry and at CROs, focusing on drug development. She has also served as Head or Research and Development for a biotech company and acted as a freelance medical writer.
